Though the current ship was launched in 10409 (2004), the simulation itself held it's first active game on January 6th, 1999 with the comissioning of the original vessel. Since this time, the ship and it's crew have continued to grow and develop into the exciting adventure it is today.

The NCC-75612 was a Defiant Class vessel, placed under the command of Captain Tim Lymbeer and Commander Ann Stewart. Upon the conclusion of the Dominion War, this ship was decommissioned in place of a vessel which would better fit the goals of exploration. The NCC-75612-A was commissioned under the command of Captain Ann Stewart and Commander Len Shelby.

By November 1, 2377 (Stardate 0011.01), Captain Stewart and Commander Shelby had retired from service within Starfleet. The Valkyrie was placed under the control of Captain Thomas Mundt, with Commander Daien Aryll moving into the role of First Officer. On March 31, 2378 (Stardate 10103.31), Captain Mundt was transferred from the Valkyrie to a position at Starfleet Academy.

In an attempt to replace the command staff with officers experienced in the ways of the Valkyrie, HQ took quick action. On April 18, 2378 (Stardate 10104.18), Commander Daien Aryll was promoted to Commanding Officer of the Valkyrie. In addition, former Chief Engineer Commander Fred Michaels was pulled from semi-retirment to assume the position of First Officer. Commander Aryll was promoted to the rank of Captain on November 21st, 2378 (Stardate: 10111.21).

On April 16, 2379 (Stardate 10204.16), the U.S.S. Valkyrie, NCC-75612-A, was lost during an encounter with an alien life form. After several weeks on a local Class-M planet, the crew was rescued.

The U.S.S. Valkyrie, NCC-75612-B, launched June 26, 2379 (Stardate 10206.26). This Sovereign Class vessel has been placed under the command of Captain Daien Aryll and Commander Fred Michaels. Both having extensive experience with the Valkyrie since the ship was commissioned. Commander Michaels retired from the Valkyrie and was replaced by former Counselor, Arin Daal on June 25, 2380 (Stardate 10306.25). During the war with the Furies June-August 2381 (Stardate 10406-10408) the Valkyrie B was damaged beyond repair and retired.

The U.S.S. Valkyrie, NCC-75612-C, a Norway Class, was commissioned and launched September 1, 2381 (Stardate 10409.01). Captain Daien Aryll Denaher and Commander Arin Daal Triest are still the command team and these two individuals help the ship continue to fullfill it's motto: "Our Shield Is Honor, Our Weapon Is Courage, Our Mission Will Not Fail."
